November 26, 2018 –
During this workshop we will tune into the body as a vehicle to bring us into the present moment and assist us in access a deep connection to our Soul and Inner-Self. Together we will explore ways of nurturing our relationship with ourselves through practices grounded in the physical body. You will be invited to explore your spiritual and soul connections in an embodied way, as a felt experience in the body.
This evening is a safe space to choose to explore the beliefs you carry about your body and what your body represents to you. You will be supported in transforming your relationship with yourself and your body. How we relate to our bodies is a reflection of how we relate to ourselves. This workshop is a loving environment to arrive in your body exactly as you are and with everything you are feeling and experiencing.
Gift yourself the time to really feel yourself and your body. You chose this human body for a purpose and for a particular experience. We are divine, spiritual beings having a human experience. It is important to remember that we are not our bodies but rather the spark within. Our bodies offer us the ability to experience, they are the vehicles that make us human and have so much wisdom to share with us.
You will be supported to build a relationship with your body, and listen to your bod as you reconnect to the whispers and callings of your body.
The intention of this class is to assist you in moving through the experiences your body holds and begin to see the sacredness of your physical body, and to connect with your True Essence that lives within your body. Beneath the layers that have accumulated over the years your body is a sacred temple of divine wisdom. Take the time to tune in and connect.
This evening will be lead by Spirit and could include body awareness exercises, meditation, movement, discussion, sharing and journal.
This class is open to both males and females.
Optional items to bring:
- yoga mat (there are some in the studio that you can use)
- a journal or notebook (there is paper at the studio)
- a blanket (optional)
Water and tea will be provided.
Alana is a Yoga Instructor, Thai Massage Practitioner and Reiki Practitioner. She has struggled with physical pain and ailments that led her to hate her body and see it only as a limitation in her life. Her journey has led her to rekindle a relationship with her body which has been challenging and miraculous. She has learned so much as she has been reconnecting with her body. This journey is an ongoing process and there is still so much wisdom to be shared. She wishes to create space for each of you to have your own miraculous journeys with your body.
